Who is a welding umbrella intended for?

Wherever welding, grinding or cutting is done outdoors, the weather plays a part. Maintenance companies working at changing locations know this better than anyone. One moment the sun is beating down on your workplace, the next a shower sets in. A welding umbrella ensures that the work does not grind to a halt.

What makes a good welding umbrella 'good'?

Not every umbrella is suitable for welding work. During professional use near sparks and spatter, the fabric must not catch fire under any circumstances. In addition, you want a structure that can withstand wind and travels easily to the next job. Cepro welding umbrellas are developed specifically for this purpose: flame-retardant and fire-retardant canvas, a sturdy structure at a manageable weight. Everything is geared towards letting you work comfortably and safely outdoors.

The canvas weighs around 280 grams per square metre. Sturdy enough for daily use, but light enough to carry along without any trouble. The top features a wind vent that keeps the umbrella more stable in gusts and prevents damage.

Good to know: the canvas is water-repellent, but not waterproof. In light rain or drizzle you stay perfectly dry. For prolonged or heavy precipitation, a welding tent is a better choice. We would rather tell you that honestly in advance, so that you know exactly what to expect.

Two sizes of welding umbrellas

Ø 220 cm

The compact version with 10 ribs of 110 cm and a tilt mechanism. The pole is 28 mm thick, consists of two parts and has a total height of 220 cm. Ideal for smaller jobs where manoeuvrability counts. With a handy carry bag.

Ø 300 cm

The larger model with 8 ribs of 150 cm and a turning mechanism for opening and closing. The pole has a diameter of 38 mm, consists of two parts and is supplied with a carry bag as well as a sturdy ground spike for fixing in the ground. The ends of the ribs are fitted with metal protective sleeves for added durability.
